Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements from source documents for a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, partnerships, and consolidations.
  • Ensure all accounting schedules and transactions are prepared in strict accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 102 1A).
  • Manage individual job budgets effectively, ensuring all engagements are completed within the allocated timeframes.
  • Act as a direct point of contact for clients, resolving queries and delivering high-level service to meet expectations.
  • Provide proactive recommendations regarding accounting matters, financial reporting, and the optimisation of accounting software.

As an ABAS (Accounts) Semi Senior you will:

  • Utilise your double-entry skill set to maintain high accuracy across complex accounts preparation tasks.
  • Master cloud-based accounting systems, specifically leveraging Xero and QuickBooks to streamline client workflows.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure financial statements are ready for final review and filing.
  • Apply basic tax knowledge to assist with tax computations, PAYE, and VAT requirements.
  • Work methodically to meet strict deadlines while managing conflicting priorities in a dynamic practice environment.
