Are you an Audit senior or newly qualified professional looking to move away from the rigours of audit testing and into a more advisory-led, technical accounting role? If you enjoy the complexity of statutory accounts and consolidations but want to escape the audit cycle, this is the perfect transition. Join a specialist team where your technical expertise becomes the solution, rather than the check.
This Top 10 Firm is a market leader in providing high-level technical support to complex corporate groups. Unlike a traditional audit-heavy practice, this specific division focuses on business transformation, deal services, and financial reporting solutions. They offer a sophisticated, consulting-led environment that prioritises technical excellence and professional development, providing a clear alternative to the standard audit career path.
As an Accounting & Financial Reporting Assistant Manager you will:
- Move away from audit testing and focus on the preparation and oversight of complex financial statements, including group consolidations and technical statutory accounts for a diverse corporate portfolio.
- Act as the key technical advisor for clients, solving intricate reporting issues under FRS 102, FRS 101, and IFRS rather than auditing them.
- Manage the delivery and profitability of a small, high-value client portfolio, taking full ownership of planning, billing arrangements, and the final quality of deliverables.
- Lead and mentor junior team members on complex assignments, identifying material reporting points and providing tailored solutions that help clients achieve their strategic goals.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be ACA or ACCA fully qualified (or part-qualified) with a strong foundation in UK financial reporting requirements.
- Have significant practical experience working with FRS 102, FRS 101, and IFRS, likely gained within a large or mid-tier firm.
- Possess a strong desire to transition from audit into a technical accounting and advisory role, demonstrating the ability to manage complex assignments and multiple client stakeholders.
- Bring a working knowledge of corporation tax, which will assist in providing a holistic financial reporting service to your corporate client base.
What You’ll Receive:
- Hybrid working with 3 days per week on site.
- 26 days holiday (with the option to purchase additional days).
- ACA / ACCA study support.
