Accounts & Business Advisory Manager – 11 Partner Firm – Glasgow

Are you a post-qualified accounting professional looking to step into a portfolio-owning management role with a dynamic, fast-growing Scottish accountancy practice?

This 11 Partner Firm operates across Central Scotland, delivering comprehensive accountancy, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs and corporate clients.

With specialist strength across Healthcare, Food and Drink, Construction, Agriculture, and Not-for-Profit sectors, the firm provides a collaborative environment focused on digital efficiency and tailored advisory solutions.

As an Accounts & Business Advisory Manager you will

  • Manage a dedicated portfolio of SME, corporate, and unincorporated clients, ensuring assignments run on time and to budget.
  • Direct and review technical work across statutory accounts preparation, management accounting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and outsourced virtual finance services.
  • Mentor and manage a 32-strong specialist team, taking charge of performance management, technical updates, and staff appraisals.
  • Support partner strategy by driving departmental key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing tender proposals, and leading business development initiatives.

As the successful candidate you will

  • Hold a full professional qualification (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Possess a proven track record of managing a corporate and SME client portfolio within public practice.
  • Demonstrate direct experience in supervising, mentoring, and managing performance within an accounts team.
