As a Tax Consultant you will
- Deliver comprehensive tax planning and advisory solutions covering Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), and Corporation Tax for business enterprises and private clients.
- Manage complex trust matters and prepare high-level advisory reports, working directly alongside the Tax Partner on bespoke planning engagements.
- Collaborate with the Tax Partner to drive business development and market the firm's specialist tax consultancy offering both internally and across external client networks.
- Act as a technical escalation point for junior team members, delegating technical queries and supporting their professional development.
As the successful candidate you will
- Hold a CTA qualification (or be qualified by experience with an extensive practice background); a STEP qualification is highly desirable.
- Possess 5+ years of accountancy practice experience delivering specialist tax compliance and advisory services.
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise across complex tax disciplines including IHT, CGT, Trusts & Estates, SDLT, and statutory reporting.
- Have practical experience using specialist tax return production software such as Digita.
