As a Trust Manager you will:

  • Assist partners and directors with complex advisory projects, including the strategic setting up and closing of onshore trusts.
  • Manage high-level estate administration duties, including the preparation of probate applications, estate accounts, and inheritance tax (IHT) returns.
  • Identify and convert business development opportunities, including structuring tailored fee quotes for new work and offering additional services to existing clients.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technical updates within the trust arena, sharing knowledge across the wider department and representing the firm at industry events.

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Hold relevant demonstrable experience gained within trust and probate professional services, ideally supported by formal CTA, STEP, or CILEX qualifications.
  • Possess expert technical knowledge of personal and trust compliance, including IHT returns, trust accounts, and Trust Registration Service (TRS) reporting.
  • Demonstrate experience in advising onshore trusts, with any exposure to offshore trust structures considered highly advantageous.
  • Exhibit a proven track record of encouraging, training, and motivating junior team members and managing departmental workflows efficiently.
