Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing expert personal tax advice on complex technical issues and advanced planning for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Manage a high-quality client portfolio, ensuring compliance, timely correspondence, and identifying tax planning opportunities.
  • Support Partners and Directors in business development, marketing initiatives, and drafting proposals for new work.
  • Act as a technical reference point for private client tax matters, reviewing work drafted by other team members.
  • Mentor and develop the team, identifying training needs and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Manage billing, WIP, and recoverability targets to ensure the commercial success of the department.

As a Private Client Tax Manager you will:

  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal personal tax advice directly to a sophisticated client base.
  • Take a lead role in the firm's growth by identifying and converting business development opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, sharing insights with the wider firm to ensure technical excellence.
  • Champion risk management and internal quality assurance standards across all advisory projects.
  • Navigate complex CTA-level technical challenges involving advanced inheritance tax and trust planning.
