As a Not-for-Profit Audit Manager you will:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of charity and non-profit clients with turnovers ranging from £1 million up to £20 million, overseeing assignments from planning through to completion for partner approval.
- Act as a key point of contact for charity senior managers and trustees, providing specialist business advisory services and meeting audit challenges head-on.
- Oversee financial performance metrics for your portfolio, including job costs, billing, and managing work-in-progress (WIP).
- Support the firm's strategic and commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities and assisting with the formal tender process.
- Lead and inspire your audit team, delivering on-the-job training, guiding junior staff through complex technical assignments, and supporting the formal performance appraisal process.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Hold a relevant professional qualification (ACA or ACCA) with extensive post-qualification experience specifically focused on charity and not-for-profit audits under the Charities SORP.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing a portfolio of audit clients, leading engagements from planning through to finalization and signing off for partner review.
- Possess strong technical expertise in reviewing statutory accounts for registered charities, community benefit societies, CICs, and CIOs.
- Exhibit natural leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating junior audit trainees on-site.
