As a Banking Audit Senior you will:
- Work directly alongside senior leadership, including the Managing Partner, delivering audit engagements for a fast-growing portfolio of banking clients.
- Lead detailed audit planning, identify complex client issues, and implement robust testing strategies to ensure compliance with standards.
- Supervise audit teams on-site, allocating sections to junior team members, monitoring job progress against budgets, and reviewing completed files.
- Conduct final analytical reviews and prepare summary reporting on key technical accounting matters prior to Partner sign-off.
- Provide technical advice and structured mentoring to junior staff to support their professional development and team performance.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be ACA or ACCA part-qualified, a finalist, or newly qualified.
- Hold 2–3 years of external audit experience specifically gained within Financial Services (prior banking audit experience is not required, providing a rare pathway into the sector).
- Demonstrate direct experience in delegating to, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior audit staff.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (including IFRS and UK GAAP) alongside practical experience with audit software such as CaseWare.
