Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assist with the preparation of personal tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns.
- Prepare financial statements and management accounts for a portfolio of SME clients.
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including fieldwork and supporting senior team members from start to finish.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide professional advice and maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with senior team members to deliver client assignments within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Support junior team members by offering day-to-day guidance and training to aid their development.
Requirements
- Part AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or actively working towards qualification).
- Previous accounting experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to meet regulatory deadlines.
- What You’ll Receive
- 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays.
- Ability to buy up to 5 days of annual leave (reaching up to 30 days per annum).
