As an Audit Senior/Assistant Manager you will:

  • Lead and supervise audit engagements with turnovers of up to £250 million, covering a variety of sectors including charities, pensions, solicitors, and schools.
  • Manage the end-to-end audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget and to strict deadlines.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, assisting them with complex accounting and auditing queries.
  • Prepare statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS102, as well as draft corporation tax computations for clients.
  • Draft detailed management recommendations following the completion of audit fieldwork to add tangible value to your client base.

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification, or be at the Advanced Level with a clear plan for completion.
  • Possess at least 2.5 years of experience in a practice environment, demonstrating consistent exposure to audit throughout your career.
  • Have a proven track record of preparing comprehensive audit files for a diverse portfolio of clients with minimal managerial guidance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle complex or non-straightforward client records while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Be a confident communicator, capable of building effective, professional relationships with both clients and internal team members.
