Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for a mixed portfolio of UK resident trust clients, overseeing the entire annual compliance cycle.
- Preparation of complex trust accounts and self‑assessment tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and HMRC compliance.
- Assisting senior leadership in the delivery of sophisticated advisory projects, including IHT planning and succession strategies.
- Leading trust restructuring projects and wealth preservation reports for multi‑generational families.
- Managing day‑to‑day correspondence and building long‑term relationships with clients and co‑professionals.
- Preparation for and active participation in meetings with both existing and prospective new clients.
As a Trust Assistant Manager / Manager you will:
- Mentor and develop junior members of staff through technical review and proactive delegating.
- Act as a key point of contact for HMRC, managing routine and complex enquiries promptly.
- Utilise CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax to deliver high‑standard reporting.
- Work independently to manage portfolio deadlines while contributing to the wider team's success.
- Identify opportunities for trust restructuring and proactively seek solutions for client affairs.
