Responsibilities

  • Leading a portfolio of FTSE and AIM‑listed clients across various sectors, focusing specifically on tax accounting and the audit of tax.
  • Supporting complex tax reporting projects for non‑audit entities, including consolidations, GAAP conversions, and acquisition accounting.
  • Acting as a direct point of contact for clients, senior management, and partners, delivering high‑quality technical advice and solutions.
  • Collaborating within a specialist national group to address evolving business needs and legislative changes.
  • Liaising and building relationships with primary audit teams and developing project management skills to ensure required deliverables are provided on time.
  • Overseeing the development of junior staff, providing on‑the‑job coaching and ensuring all project milestones are achieved accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent professional qualifications).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within an audit or tax department of a Big 4/large mid‑tier practice.
  • Proven project management abilities, with the capacity to coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders and business owners.
  • A proactive and autonomous approach, with a desire to identify additional service opportunities for a diverse client base.
