About the Firm

Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Tax in overseeing the end-to-end execution of UK tax obligations, including Corporation Tax and PAYE.
- Navigate complex VAT structures unique to the hospitality sector, managing partial exemption methods and reverse charges.
- Lead the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for statutory filings under IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Assist in international tax complexities, focusing on transfer pricing documentation and the roll-out of BEPS Pillar 2.
- Partner with the Head of Tax on strategic initiatives, including M+A due diligence and corporate restructuring.
- Act as the primary liaison for HMRC and external advisors, managing audits and ensuring robust tax governance.
Qualifications
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CTA).
- Demonstrate a proven track record within a Big 4/Top 10 firm or a similar senior in-house tax role.
- Possess a sharp understanding of the modern tax landscape, specifically Pillar 2 and global transfer pricing.
- Evidence experience in hospitality, retail, or fast-paced consumer industries (advantageous).
- Distil complex tax legislation into clear, actionable advice for operational and finance stakeholders.
- Drive projects forward independently while collaborating effectively within a specialist team.
