As a Senior Bookkeeper you will: Manage end-to-end bookkeeping requirements for a varied portfolio of clients using Xero and Quick Books.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements while identifying and advising on complex VAT issues.
Support clients through system improvements, training, and smooth transitions onto cloud-based accounting platforms.
Prepare comprehensive bookkeeping records through to trial balance alongside bank, control account, and balance sheet reconciliations.
As the successful candidate you will: Possess at least 4 years of UK accountancy practice experience within a dedicated bookkeeping role.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software, specifically Xero and Quick Books, with Xero certification highly desirable.
Bring an excellent understanding of VAT legislation and Making Tax Digital compliance.
Hold strong Microsoft Excel skills combined with high attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities to manage multiple deadlines.
