Responsibilities

  • Engage with your clients' businesses, understanding their operational needs, and identifying new commercial and advisory opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for your allocated portfolio regarding all data processing activities, taking full responsibility for duties up to and including the production of complex management information.
  • Oversee team data processing activities, including bank transactions, sales and purchase ledger items, expense claims, general ledger postings, and journals.
  • Analytically review results and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for your high-profile client portfolio.
  • Ensure that allocated teams keep all cloud accounting systems accurate and up to date within agreed timelines.
  • Review VAT returns and EC sales lists, maintaining a strong understanding of complex VAT rules and partial exemption principles.
  • Carry out strategic ad hoc assignments, frequently including budgeting, cash flow forecasting assistance, and training clients on modern cloud ecosystems.
  • Assist with tendering for potential new clients as well as managing the comprehensive implementation phase for new advisory engagements.
  • Liaise and collaborate with tax, payroll, and other internal departments on client matters to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Empower, educate, and develop junior team members through effective line management, specifically looking after a small, mixed-ability team of senior bookkeepers and apprentice management accountants.
