Austin Rose is exclusively supporting a leading city of London based independent professional services firm with c200 staff and a prestigious international client base. The firm has a friendly and supportive team environment with a flexible working environment and great benefits.
Following a period of growth, the firm is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to report to their Finance Director and take responsibility for managing the firm’s financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and performance review.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Manage a team of three junior finance staff.
- Be involved with cashflow forecasting, annual budgeting, and lock-up management.
- Be responsible for the preparation of management accounts and monthly reconciliations.
- Have responsibility for the preparation of VAT and other compliance returns, and reviewing payroll.
- Get involved in ad-hoc projects and systems improvement.
Our client is seeking applications from candidates with:
- CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified with at least three years post-qualification experience.
- Experience of managing an internal finance department of an Accountancy or Legal firm.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
