As an Agricultural Accounts Senior you will:
- Prepare and complete year-end financial statements alongside corporation tax computations for a broad portfolio of agricultural and farming business enterprises.
- Work directly with agricultural clients and their in-house bookkeepers throughout the year to optimize accounting processes and manage year-end cut-offs accurately.
- Cross-collaborate with internal personal tax, VAT, and financial services teams to identify holistic tax planning and advisory opportunities ahead of fee-earner client meetings.
- Support the professional development of junior Accounts Assistants by overseeing assignment tasks, providing structured technical training, and reviewing draft files.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Hold an AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualification, or be an accounts graduate / qualified by experience.
- Possess 2+ years of accountancy practice experience, with prior exposure to or a demonstrable interest in agricultural accounting.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax computations, and financial reporting.
- Have practical experience using cloud accounting software and practice tools such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Digita (DAPA), or APS.
