Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Tax Director to lead, manage, and develop a dedicated team of ten corporate tax professionals, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, talent development, and recruitment initiatives.
- Spearhead complex tax advisory projects in close collaboration with partners and directors, specifically advising on the operation of creative sector tax incentives and supporting clients with the structuring and planning of high‑profile productions.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of corporate tax compliance and reporting engagements, taking full ownership of the tax relationship with key client accounts, including major Hollywood studios, streaming networks, and independent media businesses.
- Act as a technical leader within the team by keeping abreast of shifting tax legislative changes, managing HMRC enquiry responses, and contributing to firm‑wide policy initiatives.
- Drive business development initiatives by actively identifying new market opportunities, cultivating intermediary networks, and leading pitches to prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Be a professionally qualified ACA, CTA, or equivalent corporate tax specialist with significant, demonstrable UK corporate tax experience gained within a professional practice environment or an equivalent in‑house role.
- Possess strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing, inspiring, and developing junior tax professionals within a structured team environment.
- Demonstrate technical capability in corporate tax compliance and advisory, alongside the ability to establish immediate credibility, confidence, and trust with senior client stakeholders.
