Corporate Reporting Accountant First step into Industry North West
Are you an auditor seeking a first step into an inhouse role? Would you enjoy working within a commercially focused business partnering role?
Our client is a large, international professional services firm based in Lancashire with an internal finance team of c80 staff. With offices throughout the UK and global reach, their corporate reporting team support commercial decision-making for each of the firms service lines. Given the fee-earning nature of professional services, this role suits an auditor who understands how the professional services sector charges its clients. This is a great opportunity for someone to make their first move into an industry role and to offer a value add service to internal stakeholders.
Corporate Reporting Accountant responsibilities include:
- Drafting and reviewing financial statements
- Preparing technical accounting papers
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of tax returns including VAT, employment taxes and corporation taxes.
- Managing regulatory and controls risk
As a Corporate Reporting Accountant, you will be/have:
- Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified
- A minimum of 3 years practical experience
- Proficient in Excel (understanding of pivot tables, vlookup, sumif etc. as a minimum)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
In return, as a Corporate Reporting Supervisor, you will receive:
- paid overtime
- 25 days holiday
- 10am-4pm core hours
- hybrid working (50% working from home)
