Responsibilities As an Assistant Manager - Business Performance & Insights, you will: Support Managers in delivering high-quality management accounts, VAT compliance, and core financial processes for a portfolio of SME clients.

Translate financial data into actionable commercial insights to help clients understand performance and strengthen decision-making.

Act as a key daily point of contact for client leadership, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional advisory services.

Manage engagement profitability, monitoring budgets, WIP, and billing while proposing solutions to operational challenges.

Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members, taking an active role in coaching and reviewing financial outputs.

Leverage UK GAAP standards (FRS 102 and FRS 105) and cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, Sage 50) to deliver accurate, modern accounting solutions.

What We Are Looking For ACA qualified (or equivalent qualification) with strong knowledge of UK GAAP, including FRS 102 and FRS 105.

Relevant experience within a professional practice environment, ideally within an accounting advisory or practice team.

Proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, Sage 50) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).

Strong commercial awareness combined with effective project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven experience working directly with clients and supervising or mentoring junior team members.
