Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and charity clients in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Conduct independent examinations for charity clients to be presented directly to Partners for final sign‑off.
  • Assist Managers on‑site with the delivery of client audit functions, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Produce draft corporate tax computations, prepare schedules for tax returns, and complete complex VAT returns.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients to resolve technical accounting queries, while actively mentoring and assisting in the development of junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Actively studying towards your ACA, ACCA, or AAT professional qualifications.
  • Solid, demonstrable experience working within a public practice environment across both audit and accounts preparation.
  • Strong technical IT skills with direct familiarity using industry‑standard software such as CCH, SAPA, CaseWare, or Alphatax.
  • Highly organized, proactive approach to managing your own workload, with the adaptability to travel to client sites and other regional offices as required.
