As a Banking Audit Assistant Manager you will
- Manage and deliver complex audit engagements for a fast-growing portfolio of banking clients, working closely alongside senior leadership and the Managing Partner.
- Oversee detailed audit planning, risk assessments, and technical review of key accounting matters specific to financial institutions.
- Direct on-site audit teams, delegating sections, managing engagement budgets and deadlines, and reviewing completed audit files before final Partner sign-off.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior auditors and Seniors, conducting performance reviews and delivering constructive feedback.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client executive teams, building lasting relationships and providing practical technical guidance.
As the successful candidate you will
- Be ACA or ACCA fully qualified (or equivalent).
- Possess direct external audit experience within the banking sector gained at a recognised public practice firm.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in accounting standards relevant to banking and financial instruments (IFRS / UK GAAP).
- Have a proven track record of supervising engagement teams, reviewing audit files, and managing job profitability.
