Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a dedicated client portfolio, tracking job budgets, overseeing work‑in‑progress, and proactively addressing potential write‑offs.
- Oversee the preparation and detailed review of complex consolidations and group company accounts.
- Review draft audited financial statements and liaise with the audit department to resolve queries.
- Act as a key technical resource for the team, resolving complex accounting issues and ensuring strict adherence to updated legislation and statutory filing deadlines.
- Assist in the completion of advisory work, contributing to high‑quality client service.
- Direct financial operations by managing debt balances and cash collections in close collaboration with credit control and clients.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the internal audit department to resolve queries regarding draft audited financial statements.
As the successful candidate you will
- Be fully ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Demonstrate proven experience in preparing single entity and consolidated year‑end financial statements, as well as accounts for audit.
- Possess hands‑on experience preparing accounts specifically formatted for audit review.
- Have proficiency or working knowledge of CaseWare or Sage for accounts production alongside cloud accounting platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks.
