Joining an office design and build business, you’ll work closely with the BD team to identify potential clients and uncover future workplace requirements.
You’ll build your knowledge of the commercial property market, develop relationships and see how your research helps create new project opportunities.
For someone keen to develop a career in business development, it’s a chance to learn the market from the ground up and gain experience across research, prospecting and early client conversations.
The role
- Research businesses, sectors and property activity to identify potential office relocation, refurbishment and fit-out opportunities
- Find the right decision makers and build a clear picture of each target business
- Gather market intelligence from company news, LinkedIn, industry sources and research platforms
- Contact prospective clients by phone and email to gather information and help qualify requirements
- Work with the BD team to prioritise prospects and support initial introductions
- Keep the CRM accurate, recording research, contacts and follow-up activity
About you
You’ll be naturally curious, organised and willing to dig beyond the obvious. You enjoy finding information, spotting connections and turning your findings into something useful.
Experience in research, lead generation or BD support would be valuable, particularly within commercial property or office design and build. You’ll also need clear communication skills and the confidence to pick up the phone as part of your research.
Attention to detail matters, alongside the initiative to follow a lead and the persistence to keep investigating.
