I’m working with a leading UK fit out contractor to appoint a Planner to join their London & South-East team, delivering high profile commercial fit-out projects across Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2–4 years’ experience who is confident working on both live projects and tenders, and who’s ready to take ownership with minimal supervision.
The Role
- You’ll provide planning, programming and methodology input at prequalification, tender and contract stage — developing accurate construction sequences and realistic programmes that support successful project delivery.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and programming input into PQQs and bids, including developing construction methodology
- Preparing tender programmes, phasing drawings, method statements and supporting documentation
- Working closely with bid managers, estimators, designers and specialist subcontractors
- Supporting site teams post-contract with detailed construction, design and procurement programmes
- Reviewing progress, updating programmes and contributing to monthly reporting
- Preparing presentation material and supporting client interviews
- Developing NEC-compliant programmes using software such as Asta Powerproject or MS Project
- Supporting lean programming and 4D planning where applicable
About You
- Approximately 2–4 years’ experience in a planning role
- Experience across both live projects and tendering
- Commercial fit-out experience
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong communication skills and comfortable engaging with internal teams and clients
- Good understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and procurement processes
- CSCS card holder
- Due to the secure nature of certain projects – BPSS clearance required
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary - £40–60k - dependant on experience
- Car allowance
- 26 days annual leave (with option to buy/sell up to 3 days)
- Private medical insurance
- Matched pension up to 8%
- Life assurance
- Enhanced parental leave
- Flexible benefits scheme (dental, critical illness, travel, cycle to work, retail perks and more)
Please note: This role is subject to BPSS clearance. Sponsorship is not available. If you’re a Planner looking to develop your career within a well-established contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects in London, I’d be happy to have a confidential conversation.
