A leading Design & Build office fit-out contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to join its London delivery team, driven by a strong and secured pipeline of work. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, this role is focused on delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects, taking full ownership of site operations from mobilisation through to completion and close-out.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the successful on-site delivery of individual D&B office fit-out projects, ensuring excellence across health & safety, quality, programme, and client satisfaction.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site delivery on projects ranging from £1m to £15m
- Full responsibility for site set-up, logistics, welfare, and H&S compliance
- Leading and coordinating subcontractors, including pre-start meetings and weekly progress meetings
- Working closely with pre-construction and commercial teams to ensure strong project handovers
- Developing and managing construction programmes and procurement schedules
- Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, landlords, consultants, and statutory authorities
- Driving a zero-tolerance approach to health & safety
- Managing snagging, defects, and full project close-out to high standards
About You:
- 5 years’ experience delivering commercial office fit-out projects (Design & Build)
- Proven ability to manage £1m projects independently
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and M&E systems
- Confident managing subcontractors and site teams
- SMSTS & CSCS qualified
- Organised, proactive, and client-focused
