The Role
Our client is seeking a
hands-on, commercially minded Marketing Specialist
to take full ownership of marketing delivery.
This role replaces an external agency and brings marketing fully in-house. Rather than managing suppliers, you will
do the work
β executing the full marketing lifecycle with autonomy, pace, and accountability.
You\βll be responsible for SEO, PPC, website management, email campaigns, creative production, social media, and content creation, working closely with sales and leadership to drive
real pipeline growth.
Success is measured by
meaningful leads and enquiries
, not activity for activity\βs sake.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Delivery
- Translate briefs into practical, executable campaigns
- Deliver campaigns supporting product launches, sector focus, and lead generation
- Maintain a clear, realistic marketing calendar
Digital Marketing (Hands-On)
- SEO:
Keyword research, on-page optimisation, content improvements, and technical hygiene - AIO:
Understanding and willingness to develop skills in emerging AI-led optimisation - Email Marketing:
Campaign creation, basic automation, and tracking (HubSpot or similar) - Analytics:
Performance tracking via GA4 and Search Console
Website & WordPress Management
- Full ownership of the WordPress website
- Day-to-day updates: content, landing pages, imagery, and product information
- Improve UX, enquiry flow, and conversion
- Oversee hosting and technical upkeep
Creative & Content
- Produce design assets in-house (Adobe Creative Suite or similar):
- Digital ads
- Social media graphics
- Exhibition graphics
- Brochures, datasheets, and sales materials
- Edit product photography
- Write clear, effective B2B marketing copy
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels
Sales & Commercial Support
- Work closely with sales and leadership to drive enquiry generation
- Produce sales enablement and campaign collateral
- Ensure marketing activity supports commercial outcomes
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Proven experience in a hands-on, all-round marketing role
- Strong experience across SEO, PPC, digital campaigns, and social media
- Confident WordPress user
- Ability to design assets in-house
- Strong B2B copywriting skills
- Commercial mindset focused on leads, enquiries, and ROI
- Comfortable operating as a standalone marketer
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, or engineering
- Experience reducing or replacing agency spend
- HTML/CSS knowledge
- CRM experience (ideally HubSpot)
- Experience in email campaign platforms
