Our client is a well-established, family-owned business with over 45 years in construction and infrastructure supply (~£20m turnover). With strong foundations and long-standing Tier 1 relationships, the business is now entering its next phase — scaling in a more structured, commercially disciplined way.
This is a high-impact MD role with full P&L ownership and a clear mandate: drive growth, improve margins, and prepare the business for future investment or exit.
The Role- Define and deliver the growth strategy
- Drive EBITDA and margin improvement through pricing and commercial discipline
- Strengthen and scale operations across supply chain and distribution
- Build a more structured, accountable organisation and leadership team
- Embed data, KPIs and performance-led decision making
- Lead the business towards investment readiness or exit
- Proven MD / GM / senior operator in supply chain, distribution, logistics or construction
- Track record of scaling SMEs (£10m–£50m+)
- Strong commercial focus with experience improving margins and performance
- Hands-on leader, comfortable driving change on the ground
- Experience in PE environments or exit journeys is advantageous
