Our client is a leading UK building safety and compliance business, backed by private equity and entering an exciting phase of acquisitive growth. We are retained to appoint a Procurement Director to build and lead a new Group-wide procurement, supply chain and pricing function. This is a genuine build-and-shape opportunity. Procurement, supplier relationships and pricing currently sit across multiple businesses, and the successful candidate will bring these together into a scalable Group capability.

The opportunity

  • Build and lead the Group procurement and supply chain function
  • Centralise and leverage Group spend to deliver measurable savings
  • Own pricing across both supplier costs and customer-facing pricing
  • Establish and negotiate Group-wide framework agreements
  • Rationalise and strengthen the strategic supplier base
  • Lead procurement and supply chain integration across acquisitions
  • Own procurement synergies and provide clear reporting to the Board
  • Build the systems, governance and commercial discipline required to support continued growth

What we're looking for

An experienced Procurement, Supply Chain or Commercial Director / Head of with a track record of operating in a £100m+ or rapidly scaling organisation. You will ideally have experience of:

  • Centralising procurement within a devolved or multi-site business
  • Buy-side and sell-side pricing
  • Strategic supplier and framework negotiation
  • M&A integration and synergy delivery
  • Construction, building services, M&E, fire/building compliance, facilities management or a comparable sector

You'll need to be commercially sharp, comfortable operating at Board level and equally capable of rolling up your sleeves to build the function and deliver results.

Location: Plymouth, with regional and international travel. This is an opportunity to build a function from the ground up, directly influence margin and value creation, and play a pivotal role in an ambitious PE-backed growth story.
