We are seeking a hardworking, ambitious, and dynamic Subject Leader of Drama and Theatre Studies to join a thriving and high-achieving secondary school in South West London. About the Role: Subject Leader – Drama and Theatre Studies

As Subject Leader, you will take full ownership of the Drama and Theatre Studies curriculum across Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4), and Sixth Form (KS5). You will be responsible for delivering exceptional teaching standards, developing an engaging and progressive curriculum, supporting staff development, and ensuring excellent student outcomes.

You will play a key role in shaping the cultural and creative life of the school, while collaborating with fellow department heads to drive whole-school achievement.

Key Responsibilities: Subject Leader – Drama and Theatre Studies

  • Lead and manage the Drama and Theatre Studies department effectively
  • Raise attainment and progress across all key stages
  • Provide professional support to Drama teachers

Ideal Candidate Profile: Subject Leader of Drama and Theatre Studies

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Holds a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies or a closely related subject
  • Has at least three years\’ high school teaching experience
  • Has a proven track record of teaching Drama
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Is an excellent communicator who can inspire students and colleagues
  • Has in-depth knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress tracking
