Job Opportunity: Senior Waste Consultant
Are you passionate about making a difference in waste management and sustainability? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Waste Consultant to join our client’s expanding Sustainability and Environment Division in their growing London office. In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in delivering waste management projects and shaping policies across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, with a strong focus on the UK market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage waste infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Engage in business development, generating and following up on new opportunities across the UK and other key regions.
- Collaborate with Government departments and stakeholders to deliver successful waste management projects that meet regulatory standards.
- Provide expert guidance on solid waste management projects, from strategic planning to facility design, with a focus on Waste to Energy, MRF, and MBT.
- Ensure compliance with UK/EU waste management legislation and global best practices.
- Prepare and manage complex project programs, contracts, and tender proposals.
- Mentor and grow the team, driving professional development and organizational performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc or BEng in Waste Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in engineering and waste management, with at least 3 years in a similar senior role.
- Proven track record in UK waste management projects. GCC experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of EU/UK Solid Waste Management legislation.
- Membership in the CIWM is advantageous.
- Strong experience in planning, design, and monitoring of solid waste systems.
