Our client, an exceptional UK homebuilder leading the industry in quality, service, and sustainability, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in South London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all commercial and cost aspects of large-scale residential developments.
- Overseeing budgets, contracts, and valuations to ensure financial targets are met.
- Controlling costs across all trades and ensuring live cost certainty.
- Procuring and managing subcontractors, goods, and materials in line with company policies.
- Leading value engineering initiatives to ensure efficiency without compromising quality.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members to reach their full potential.
- Keeping up to date with the latest construction methods, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Attending project meetings and presenting commercial updates to senior management.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a degree in Quantity Surveying (HND or higher) and a valid CSCS card.
- Has at least five years\’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent understanding of market conditions, construction regulations, and NHBC requirements.
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail, able to analyse and present data accurately.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with project management, payment, and valuation software.
- A proactive and methodical approach, capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
