Senior Project Engineer (Utilities, Client side) – Staff

Location: London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable Energy and Hydrocarbon sectors.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Working Client side role, responsible for managing the delivery of packages of work on a major new clean tech plant.
  2. Managing the delivery of utilities and product offtake arrangements with partners, ensuring delivery of associated infrastructure required.
  3. Responsible for technical review of gaps in scope by the FEED contractor.
  4. Undertake work on client sites providing technical advice and project management services.
  5. Checking the quality of subcontractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
  6. Produce budget costs and cash flow projections for projects.
  7. Plan, schedule and steward progress on engineering projects.
  8. Maintain and further develop relationships with key stakeholders on projects.
  9. Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clients’ policies and procedures.
  10. Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.
  11. Checking of project deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications.
  12. Responsible for engineering design and assessment in line with client expectations as well as supporting others within the team.
  13. Will be required to provide input into HAZOP / HAZIDs.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  1. Must be degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, chartered status desired but not essential.
  2. Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
  3. Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.
  4. Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
