This versatile electronics team is searching for a principal engineer to head the team providing management, technical, and business expertise. They develop technologies for multinational companies in a diverse range of markets including medical, fluidics, and advanced consumer products. This is an ideal role for either a senior engineer ready to make the step up or someone who’s held a similar position previously.

You will be leading the team tackling projects ranging from small technology demonstrations through to full product launches including transfer into manufacture. You will display technical leadership and in time become responsible for entire product architectures. You will also need to demonstrate business acumen and professional presentation skills as you will be in direct communication with customers and clients.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive and demonstrable skills in designing, prototyping and testing electronic systems and writing embedded C/C++ code.
  2. A hands-on approach to technical work, willing and able to solder up new boards and diagnose hardware faults with laboratory equipment.
  3. Team leadership and project management skills. An extensive history is not required, but some commercial experience is.
  4. Top academic engineering qualifications, 1st or 2:1 from a leading university in a relevant subject.
