Salary up to £50,000pa – Dependent on experience
Monday to Thursday 21:00 – 07:00 – Nights
36 Hours per week
5 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

Are you experienced in Quality Assurance Specialist and confident working hands-on in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment?
We\’re looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Quality Assurance Specialist to join our night shift team. This is a highly reactive and varied role where strong communication, a quality-first mindset, and independent working are essential.
Operating within a Just-In-Time (JIT) automotive supply chain, this role is critical to maintaining smooth operations and avoiding costly line stoppages. You\’ll be the key point of contact for managing and resolving customer quality concerns during the night shift. You will be working closely with internal teams and external customers, conducting on-site visits when required, and responding swiftly to quality issues. A hands-on approach, technical understanding, and strong relationship management skills are vital for success.
The company is looking for you to have at least2 years\’ Quality Assurance experiencein an automotive environment or similar and ideally come from an engineering background. Have practical, hands-on experience using 8D and other root cause analysis methodologies and Ability to read technical drawings (GD&T) and use measurement equipment.
Quality Assurance Specialist Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer complaints and concerns, including root cause analysis (8D/5Y)
Coordinate containment actions and lead inspection processes
Work directly with automotive customers on-site, representing the business professionally
Handle warranty issues, track KPIs (e.g., CPM, COPQ, line stops), and maintain scorecards
Lead internal quality meetings and liaise with warehouse, supplier quality, and MP&L teams
Prepare and submit accurate reports in line with JIT customer expectations
Maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards
Quality Assurance Specialist skills & experience:
Minimum of 2 years\’ Quality Assurance experience in Automotive or similar.
Quality assurance experience in a JIT, automotive, or manufacturing environment
Strong relationship management and communication skills – confident in lone working
Experience with 8D methodology (automotive background preferred)
Ability to read technical drawings (GD&T) and use measurement equipment
Engineering qualification (minimum ONC level)
Comfortable using systems such as M3, Canea, and Microsoft Office
