The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
The purpose of this role is to play an active role in the design of projects, including working with other Engineers, Technicians, external consultants, and clients. Duties will include being aware of the financial aspects/targets of assigned projects, attending project meetings, and being the daily contact for the client, contractors, and other project consultants.
This is an opportunity to work on a variety of sectors, including heritage projects.
Responsibilities- Develop scheme designs as required by the Directors and Principal engineers, using appropriate software.
- Assist in the delivery of projects within timescale, budget constraints, and quality expectations.
- Produce and/or work with technicians to produce relevant civil engineering information.
- Undertake structural engineering analysis.
- Full management of small projects.
- Attendance at project and design meetings and site visits.
- Undertake condition surveys and write reports.
- Liaison with other members of the design team.
- Keep all project-related documentation in compliance with the Business Management systems, processes, and procedures.
- Communicate project's critical issues in a timely manner to Directors and clients.
- Mentor graduates and technicians.
- Actively engage in CPD to maintain and facilitate personal and career development.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Civil or Structural engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in structural engineering design and construction.
- Good all-round technical design expertise using British, European, and international standards and codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients and other design team members.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- Knowledge in using AutoCAD and structural engineering packages to design and detail structural schemes.
