Principal Consultant/Director – Data & Analytics
Are you a senior Data consulting leader?
Can you lead major projects in data strategy and/or data analytics solutions?
Can you help win projects and drive new business?
This dynamic and world-leading boutique Data Consultancy specializes in data-driven transformation. They are seeking a director-level candidate to join their team who can bring a blend of strategic data consulting and more technical data analytics/engineering experience to their practice.
The Role
This key client-facing role will see you take the lead on projects, driving the team to deliver high-impact data initiatives for clients that deliver true change and value.
You will test your skills across a variety of challenging client projects spanning Data Strategy formation, Data Maturity Assessments, Literacy Initiatives, and Governance Programs as well as more technical data analytics and engineering projects.
Day-to-day you will act as the client’s main point of contact, lead workshops with senior stakeholders, define the scope of work, and oversee the project plan. You will be responsible for overseeing a range of exciting delivery and advisory projects for organizations looking to transform their data and improve their data literacy and maturity, providing them with a data strategy and roadmap for transformation as well as presenting innovative solutions to their toughest data challenges.
This is a varied and interesting role where you will utilize your broad and deep knowledge of data, analysis, data strategy, and insights to help harness solutions, solve problems, and guide the team. The need here is very much for a do-er… not a ‘thought leader’.
What will you need?
You will bring a passion for data and must be a self-starter who can direct, lead, and take ownership of projects and teams, guiding them to achieve goals and objectives.
Ideally, you will have a track record of leading the successful delivery of both strategic data consulting/advisory projects and technical data analytics/engineering projects, but your strengths may lie more on one side than the other.
You will be able to evidence the delivery of multiple complex data projects across the full lifecycle, ideally within a client-facing consultancy environment, but candidates who have operated as an internal consultant and driven change will also be considered.
You will have experience in creating Data Strategy, building data teams, and will be highly familiar with data maturity assessments, data vision generation, use case & value mapping, and data literacy.
Any commercial skills such as contributing to presales, proposals, bids, tenders, or winning new projects are highly desirable, and you must have excellent communication and presentation skills up to CxO level, with the ability to build relationships and be seen as a trusted advisor.
Location and Benefits
This is a hybrid role which offers good flexibility to work remotely but visits to the offices in London will be required (c2-3 times per week). This consultancy has big ambitions to grow so if you are a Principal Data Consultant or Director and want to work alongside some of the data industry’s best minds, then this could be the challenge you are seeking!
In return, a highly competitive salary is on offer (DoE) plus an annual bonus (paid quarterly), private medical, contributory pension, 25 days holiday, and other perks. This company has a collaborative culture and an open promotion policy making it a true meritocracy and a great place to work. If you want to take your career in Data to the next level, please apply NOW.
If you are interested please apply ASAP. The People Network is an employment agency and will respond to all applicants within three – five working days. If you do not hear within these timescales please feel free to get in touch.
