Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our client in Wells, who are actively recruiting for a Preparation / Cooking Operative on a temporary to permanent basis.

As a Preparation and Cooking Team Member you will be responsible for:

  1. Weighing large volumes of ingredients
  2. Hand cutting or slicing large volumes of fresh ingredients including fish and meat
  3. Following recipe cards
  4. Maintaining high hygiene levels
  5. Flagging any issues with the equipment
  6. Managing and operating the cooking equipment, ensuring that specific cooking times and methods are followed
  7. Maintaining food preparation records and logs

Key qualifications and skills include:

  1. Good level of English
  2. A positive approach to work / positive attitude
  3. A desire to develop skills and progress within the business
  4. Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team
  5. Ability to lift up to 20kg+
  6. Preferably previous experience as a machine operator or operator

Working Hours:
4 on 4 off

What you will receive in return:

  1. Basic pay rate of £12.08 per hour
  2. Basic pay rate of £14.85 per hour
  3. Once permanent pay will increase to at least £15.12 per hour (including shift premiums)
  4. Free meals to take home
  5. Paid breaks
  6. Free on-site parking
  7. Subsidised canteen
