Join our Client, a leading housing association that provides quality, affordable homes. We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join their Responsive Repairs Team. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of their properties and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks within properties.
- Conduct repairs to domestic plumbing installations.
- Install replacement sanitary ware, baths, shower trays, level decks, and associated equipment.
- Fit kitchen sinks and new pipework including copper, speed fit, waste, and rainwater systems.
- Install new sundry items such as taps and ball valves and conduct repairs on them.
- Manage installations and repairs of water mains supplies, heating system pipework, and drainage stop taps.
- Install and fix domestic appliances like showers and washing machines.
- Handle vented and unvented cylinder heads and maintain cold water storage tanks.
- Occasionally perform basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating, and other general maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing, or at least 5 years of experience in this core trade.
- Experience working in occupied premises with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of best practices.
- Proficiency in using mobile technology such as iPads or PDAs.
- Current CSCS card is desirable.
- Full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's driving experience.
- Ability to manage a company van for business use.
