Partner – Building Surveying, London West End

The Building Consultancy team aims to provide effective advice on an important key asset of any business or property. Adding value to property through technical expertise, experience and understanding, as well as delivering projects and solutions to maximise returns.

Our client is a leading real estate adviser with more than 150 staff across 8 offices. Continued growth and an ever-expanding client base have created exciting opportunities in our Building Consultancy team.

Acting on behalf of landlords and tenants including Corporate, Retail, Investment Companies, Lenders and Central and Local Government, developing partnerships with clients, balanced with an understanding of their business needs and objectives to deliver an effective solution.

The Building Consultancy team has a position available immediately in the London Office for an experienced Partner or aspiring Associate with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

This is a Senior level role, which will involve providing advice on a number of key property related matters covering the full spectrum of Building Consultancy services including Building Surveys, Pre-acquisition Surveys, Contract Administration, Project Management, Dilapidations, Fire reinstatement valuations, planned preventative maintenance reports and party wall matters. There is a bias toward professional work.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Providing advice on a wide range of property types and to a variety of clients many of whom are core clients of the business.
  2. Developing and managing client relationships.
  3. Managing the team in achieving targets and growing the business line.
  4. Managing and developing junior members of the team.

Skills and Experience

  1. A proven track record in ensuring business operational and financial targets are met.
  2. Strong people management skills.
  3. Good attention to detail, with a strong numerical and written ability.
  4. Able to write clear, concise reports with well-argued conclusions & recommendations.
  5. Target driven and able to work at pace.
  6. You will be RICS qualified.
