Salary: £45,000 + 10% Allowance + Bonus – Total Compensation circa £50,000

Location: Stevenage – full-time on site

Clearance: DV Cleared or DV Clearable. Initially SC Cleared

The Role:

As Linux Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our live services. You will join our established team providing support to customers\’ IT systems.

This opportunity is customer-facing, so the most important attributes are your ability to work well and communicate effectively with customers.

You will support our high-profile customer through the implementation and configuration of complex IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review customer-related system issues via a ticketing system and resolve issues to maintain system operational states within SLA and KPI targets.
  • Review and produce documentation, record processes to enable first-time fixes and quick resolutions.
  • Monitor system status and report issues promptly to service management and relevant teams.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting customer needs within your support role.
  • Provide server and application support, including automation, image building, documentation, scripting, and Linux server configuration.
  • Mentor and train junior team members to enhance team skills.
  • Contribute to new work requirements as directed by Service Delivery Managers.
