Reed Finance are pleased to be working exclusively with a membership not for profit organisation based in Reading to recruit a new Head of Finance. This organisation are specialists in their field and have exciting plans to further develop their specialist knowledge across other sectors as well as expand internationally – this really is an exciting time to join them and be a key part of this journey! This role requires someone with experience working in an SME setting or charity but will bring a commercial mindset and natural commercial acumen to every situation and be willing to challenge the status quo. Someone that can spearhead, alongside the CEO, the growth of their consultancy operation both in the UK and overseas. Also, someone that can support upcoming mergers and can give advice on the appropriate structures and vehicles to undertake this. The role will involve: Developing a forward-looking financial strategy for the Group, including the charitable company and a Special Purpose Vehicle for non-core work/income Management of the Finance team and oversight of the day-to-day financial management Producing and presenting the annual budget and forecasts to the Executive Leadership Team and the Management Committee Producing relevant financial reporting and analysis to allow effective decision making Monitoring cash flow and providing proactive advice Supporting the Chief Operating Officer and directors in the delivery of their individual services and development of new income streams Continuously improving Finance processes and bringing a real professionalism to finance This is a part-time role (4 days ideally) offering a salary of circa £75-80k pro rata depending on experience plus company benefits, 30 days leave, and very flexible hybrid working (min 1 or 2 days in the office per week).
