About the Role:
My client is seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems to join their team in London. This role is ideal for an engineer motivated by the Net-Zero challenge and committed to energy efficiency and decarbonisation. Our team currently delivers 3,000tCO2 savings annually and aims to expand its capabilities to design, build, own, and operate energy systems for diverse facilities, including data centres, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, leisure centres, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the delivery of multiple projects across various development stages (focused on RIBA Stage 0-4).
  2. Collaborate with the wider operations team to apply feasibility and robust design principles to decarbonisation projects.
  3. Manage resources effectively, including site audits and client information gathering.
  4. Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for decarbonisation, on-site generation, and energy efficiency projects.
  5. Prepare technical and project documentation to support project development and construction phases.
  6. Provide advisory support during handover stages of projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Chartered or actively working towards professional registration with IET, IMechE, or CIBSE.
  2. Strong consultancy experience and/or excellent technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  3. Proficiency in producing technical specifications, including energy conservation measures, concept designs, techno-economic analyses, feasibility studies, procurement, and project implementation plans.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage mixed-discipline engineering teams.
  5. Proficient in MS Excel and/or Python for creating complex calculation models.
