If so, GSL Education are looking for a proactive and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive school in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EYFS professional to make a lasting impact on children's development.
Key Responsibilities of Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA):- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative EYFS lessons.
- Assist with early learning activities, including phonics, numeracy, and play-based learning.
- Provide individual and small group support to enhance children's development.
- Encourage social, emotional, and communication skills in a nurturing environment.
- Ensure the classroom is a safe and stimulating space for young learners.
- Observe and record children's progress in line with EYFS guidelines.
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in an EYFS setting (preferred).
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
- Possess a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
