An exciting and important opportunity has arisen within a brilliant charity that supports refugees in beginning their new lives within the UK, for a Director of Finance & Operations. This is a year-long maternity cover, that will start in February 2025. It will oversee a small finance team, IT and for part of the year the data team. It is a hybrid role, with one to two days per week based in the London Office.
As the Director of Finance & Operations your role will involve:
- Reporting into the CEO and leading on finance strategy and the annual budget setting
- Overseeing a finance team of three and ensuring a smooth and efficient month-end process
- Leading on year-end accounts preparation and the annual audit
- Overseeing the data team (for part of the year) and driving data usage by the wider organisation
- Overseeing office management and IT (outsourced)
- Working closely with the fundraising team to analyse performance and identify opportunities
- Overseeing a systems migration project
The ideal candidate for the Director of Finance & Operations role will:
- Be a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
- Have experience leading finance and operational teams previously
- Be committed to the plight of society’s most vulnerable people
- Have a passion for data and the use of it to improve an organisation’s performance
