Reed Practice are excited to be engaged by a leader in the accounting sector, a top regional firm who are enjoying extreme success and growth, to recruit a newly recreated role of Audit Director. This is a post that will offer the successful applicant progression opportunities and the scope to further develop your existing professional skills and profile.

Reporting directly to the Partner, your role is to manage the corporate services group team members in Cambridgeshire through training, managing, and mentoring, as well as leading by example through participation in all stages of audit from planning to finalisation with a selection of clients. You will have the chance to become a well-known name in the local market through networking at various events, working with Partners and the marketing department to identify and win new clients and projects for the local offices.

As the senior leader of the team, you will review assignments and working papers offering helpful feedback. Other aspects include responsibility for achieving profitability such as billings and collections, involvement in tendering processes, and working with teams and colleagues across various offices.

To be considered for this prestigious appointment, it is mandatory to have developed a career in audit within a UK accountancy practice to a senior post. You will possess an appropriate qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or those with considerable experience but not qualified will also be considered. A knowledge of corporate tax would be an advantage.

As a seasoned audit professional, you will have excellent communication and people skills, be self-motivated, flexible, and able to travel. In addition, knowledge of IFRS, experience of recruitment, and an ability to present and develop business is also desirable.
