We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to work within a Semi-Independent Living Service supporting young people aged 16–17 years. This role involves providing structured support, promoting independence, and ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld within a regulated supported accommodation setting.

You will be responsible for encouraging positive behaviour, supporting education and life skills development, maintaining professional boundaries, and completing accurate daily reports and incident records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to young people in semi-independent accommodation
  • Promote independence, budgeting skills, self-care and daily living skills
  • Complete detailed daily logs, risk assessments and incident reports
  • Support young people to engage in education, training or employment
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Work collaboratively as part of a rota-based team
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK with a minimum Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) OR significant relevant experience
  • Proven experience working with young people (16–18) in supported living, residential, youth work or education settings
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (report writing essential)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Availability for 3–5 shifts per week
