Support Worker – Day Care Centres East London | £12.71 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekly pay Are you a caring and dependable Support Worker who enjoys helping people feel safe, included and supported? We’re recruiting Support Workers for day care centres across East London. You’ll support adults with learning disabilities and other support needs to take part in activities, build confidence and enjoy their day. You’ll help create a friendly, respectful environment where each person is treated as an individual and encouraged to be as independent as possible. What you’ll be doing * Supporting people with daily activities, social interaction and community participation * Providing personal care with dignity, patience and respect * Supporting individuals with epilepsy and following their care plans and guidance * Helping people feel comfortable, safe and included throughout the day * Encouraging independence and recognising each person’s abilities and preferences * Communicating respectfully with service users, colleagues and other professionals * Sharing relevant updates with the team and reporting any concerns promptly * Following safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and infection-control procedures Essential requirements * Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in an adult care setting in the UK * A good understanding of epilepsy and confidence supporting people who have seizures * Previous experience providing personal care * A kind, patient and respectful approach * Reliable attendance and good communication skills * The right to work in the UK Shift details and benefits * Hours: 10:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday * Weekends: No weekend shifts * Pay: £12.71 per hour, paid weekly * Flexible shifts, with opportunities to work around your availability * A rewarding role where you can make a positive difference to people’s daily lives If you have the experience we’re looking for and want to be part of a supportive team, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
