We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Prison Nurses to join our growing team, supporting healthcare services within secure custodial environments. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a vital part in delivering essential healthcare to a vulnerable population with complex needs. The Role

  • Deliver high-quality primary care within a secure setting
  • Undertake clinical assessments, triage, and treatment
  • Administer medication safely and effectively
  • Support patients with complex physical and mental health needs
  • Respond to urgent and emergency situations
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, mental health teams, and custodial staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards

Essential Requirements

  • Valid NMC Registration (Adult or Mental Health Nurse)
  • Minimum 12 months UK clinical experience
  • ACTIVE Prison Clearance (ESSENTIAL - candidates without this will not be considered)
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a secure and sometimes challenging environment
  • Up-to-date mandatory training
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience in Prisons, Secure Units, or Forensic Settings
  • Knowledge of substance misuse, mental health, or long-term conditions
