Austin Dean Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Workers to support Older People’s Short Stay Services within Adult Social Care.

The Role:

You will provide high-quality social, emotional, physical and personal care to older adults, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing at all times. You will support individuals with dementia and frailty to regain and maintain their independent living skills through person-centred care and rehabilitation-focused support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care and emotional support to service users
  • Promote independence through daily living support plans
  • Support rehabilitation programmes set by Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists
  • Encourage participation in activities and provide 1:1 engagement where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and professional care records
  • Report safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures
  • Attend mandatory training, supervision and team meetings
  • Support the delivery of a safe, effective and person-centred service
